Advent Research Materials Embraces DHL's GoGreen Plus Initiative

Carli Goodfellow

At Advent Research Materials, we have always been committed to sustainable practices and reducing our environmental footprint. That's why we are thrilled to announce our participation in DHL Express's groundbreaking GoGreen Plus initiative.

As a certified GoGreen Plus partner, we are proud to be part of the global effort to make shipping more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Understanding GoGreen Plus

DHL Express introduced GoGreen Plus as part of their sustainability goal to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. This innovative service empowers customers to make a positive impact on the environment by reducing the carbon emissions associated with their shipments. What makes GoGreen Plus unique is its use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to offset emissions.

SAF is a game-changer in the aviation industry as it significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional jet fuel. DHL Express has partnered with industry leaders like bp and Neste to supply SAF to their hubs around the world. This sustainable fuel is derived from waste oils, offering an astonishing reduction of up to 80 percent in greenhouse gas emissions over its lifecycle.

A Pioneering Move by DHL Express

DHL Express is the first global express courier to offer such an environmentally friendly option to its customers. The initiative was initially launched in the UK and is set to expand to Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates. Customers in these regions can now choose GoGreen Plus when selecting their shipping service through MyDHL+, DHL Express's online shipping and tracking platform.

"At Advent Research Materials, we believe that every small step towards sustainability matters. Becoming a GoGreen Plus partner aligns perfectly with our commitment to responsible business practices. By choosing this eco-friendly option, we are not only reducing the carbon footprint of our shipments but also supporting the use of sustainable aviation fuel, which is a crucial step in making the logistics industry more sustainable."  - Chris Goodfellow,  Managing Director.

Our customers will now see the Go Green Stamp on every airway bill proudly indicating our commitment to sustainable shipping practices.

By choosing GoGreen Plus for our shipments, we are taking a significant step towards a more sustainable future and we are pleased to be taking our customers on this journey, as together, we can make a real difference.
