Celebrating 30 Years

Nestled in West Oxfordshire’s Countryside, Advent Research Materials Ltd remains a family run business under the management of its founder, Andrew Goodfellow.

The firm was founded in 1988 by Andrew, who started his career at Goodfellow Metals. 

Alongside his wife Sara and their son Dr Christopher Goodfellow, EngD, Meng, Advent Research Materials is proud to service a global customer base with the fast, efficient and friendly supply of ex-stock materials for scientific research, at competitive prices.  

The core business purpose is to enable scientists across a vast spectrum of interests and industries, to experiment, innovate and iterate with a wide range of metallic materials throughout the research process. 

Advent aims to provide as much choice as possible to the customer and in order to facilitate this, and as a business are constantly looking to expand the range of metals, alloys, forms, purities and sizes on offer, adding to the 8,000 items already listed within the catalogue.
