Dr Chris Goodfellow, EngD, MEng
With a 1st Class Masters degree in Material Science from the University of Birmingham, Chris went on to complete his Engineering Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering, submitting a thesis on ‘The Corrosion of Friction Stir Welds in Aluminium Alloys used for Aerospace Applications.’
Chris joined the family firm in 2006 and manages all aspects of the day to day running of the business.
Away from the office Chris is an accomplished triathlete, having raced at a professional level for Ironman distance triathlons and has also represented Great Britain at the Elite level within the sport.
Starting his career at Goodfellow Metals, Andrew was responsible for establishing the supply of small quantities of metals, alloys and polymers within the previously family-owned business, on the Cambridge Science Park.
Andrew Goodfellow and Sara Goodfellow went on to set up Advent Research Materials in 1988 with the goal to supply high purity metals, alloys and polymers to the global scientific research community.
Andrew still holds an active position within the Company at Board level.
For over thirty years, Sara has been responsible for managing the Company’s financial procedures and fulfilling Advent's statutory obligations.
Though Sara still holds an active position within the Company, she is spending more time away from the office to enjoy her four grandchildren.
E-Commerce and Digital Marketing Manager
With over a decade of digital experience, Carli Goodfellow joined Advent Research Materials in 2017 to support the development and administration of the Company’s website, email communications and social media infrastructures in order to better serve Advent’s global customer base.
Away from the office Carli is a keen skier and certified Personal Trainer.
Malcolm Lord, MEng
Celebrating his 10th year with the Company in 2018, Malcolm is instrumental in managing all operations and logistics for Advent Research Materials Ltd.
He holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Honors in Automotive Engineering, from the University of Newcastle.
Away from the office, Malcolm enjoys rock climbing and trail running.
