Purpose: Advent’s purpose is to enable scientists to experiment, innovate and iterate with a wide range of metallic materials throughout the research process. In order to facilitate this, the primary objective of Advent’s is to continually expand the range of metals, alloys, forms, purities and sizes on offer. Since its entry to the market in the late 1980s the number of product lines available has increased threefold. Expertise: Advent’s service is one of supply, not consultancy; however it recognises the need to understand its customer’s requirements. Andrew Goodfellow has more than forty years of experience in the metals industry. Chris Goodfellow possesses an Engineering Doctorate and a Masters Degree in Materials and Metallurgy, and will endeavour to provide assistance where possible. Customers: Advent operates in a niche market on a global scale. It sells to over sixty countries around the globe, and supplies nineteen out of the top twenty universities in the UK. One leading English university uses Advent’s materials in no fewer than sixteen departments. Advent’s commercial customer base is also extensive, which ensures that our materials are in use at the forefront of the scientific industry.
